In 2011 we released the iPad version of our FedEx tracking application. This offered a more full-featured experience for our customers with searching and better filtering being introduced.
I knew we needed to bring more value to the iPad experience due to the device size and customer expectations. Offering more features and using Popover sheets for many controls and details grounded the list-based tracking experience a bit and transformed it into an always-on application for many business customers.
I designed this experience in conjunction with the FedEx Android design effort, so several elements were shared between the applications.
